Resident of Grozny detained for shooting at Eid al-Fitr
The police detained a resident of Grozny, who celebrated the onset of the holiday of Eid al-Fitr by shooting into the air with a gun, the police reported after checking a posted video of the incident.
A 38-year-old resident of Grozny was detained after a video appeared on the Internet showing him firing a civilian gun. Employees of the National Guard of Russia watched the video, and then employees of the licensing and permit police department identified an owner of a hunting smooth-bore gun.
An administrative material was drawn up against the man, and the gun was confiscated, the “Grozny-Inform” news agency reports today.
The detainee pleaded guilty and promised not to commit any similar actions in the future.
