Due to heavy shelling, children evacuated from Nagorno-Karabakh village

Azerbaijani militaries have shelled communities in the Askeran and Martuni Districts; threats were voice out against Khramort villagers, the Nagorno-Karabakh Prosecutor's Office has stated. Khramort villagers have taken their children out of dangerous territory.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated that on March 8, Azerbaijani militaries fired from a grenade launcher in the direction of the Khramort village of the Askeran District.

A villager of Khramort named Khachatryan said that Azerbaijani military posts conducted shelling for several hours.

Azerbaijani militaries are actively shelling the communities of Khramort and Nakhichevanik of the Askeran District, and the communities of Khnushinak and Karmir Shouka of the Martuni District, the Karabakh Prosecutor's Office wrote on the Facebook. The villages are being shelled, in particular, from mortars, the MoD has added.

Also on March 9, demands to "leave the territory" and threats to "use force" were pronounced through the loudspeaker from the Azerbaijani positions near Khramort.

The shelling "prevents villagers from carrying out their agricultural works and travelling freely."
