Azerbaijani sappers report about found mines

In the territories that passed under Azerbaijan's control after the 2020 autumn war, during the past week, sappers from the ANAMA (the Azerbaijani Mine Action Agency) found more than 40 anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since the start of the demining operation in November 2020 and up to January 31, 2022, the ANAMA sappers had found and defused 10,540 anti-personnel mines, 4,802 anti-tank mines, and 13,444 other munitions in the total area of 7180 hectares.

On February 21, the ANAMA reported on the results of work for the week on February 14-20, namely, that more than 115 hectares have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, the report.az has informed.

The demining works were carried out in the Terter, Agdam, Fizuli, Shusha, Gubadli, Djebrail and Zangilan Districts.
