On February 14-20, 2022, no one fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week of February 14-20, 2022, no killed or wounded in the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus were reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the “Caucasian Knot” based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
A native of Stavropol Territory detained in a case on Basaev’s attack on Dagestan
On February 16, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reported about the detention of Eldar Mashaev, a native of the Neftekumsk District of the Stavropol Territory. According to the investigators’ version, in 1999, the suspect “joined the detachment led by Shamil Basaev and Emir Khattab and participated in the attack on the Russian military men in the Botlikh District of Dagestan.”
