Azerbaijani MoD reports on condition of rescued militaries

The three servicemen of the Azerbaijani Army, who got lost in the Kalbadjar District, were taken to the central military hospital in Baku; there is no threat to their lives, the press service of the Azeri Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 29, due to a snowstorm, four servicemen got lost in the Kalbadjar District. Three of them were found and taken to the hospital. On January 31, the body of Senior Lieutenant, Bagirov Fuad Allahverdi oglu, was found.

The long-service junior sergeant, DjJavad Rauf oglu Guseinov, and soldiers, Mashallakh Rovshan oglu Guseinov and Yasin Yaver oglu Karimov, are currently at the Central Military Hospital of the Azerbaijani MoD in Baku. Their condition is satisfactory; all the three are on the mend, and there is no threat to their lives, the Azeri MoD has informed.

They all got lost in the highlands, where the military service conditions are very severe in winter. This is a locality in the Kalbadjar District, near the border with Armenia, the military expert, Azad Isazade has noted. "Most likely, the militaries, who are guided by maps, could go astray and get lost in the conditions of strong wind and snowfall," Mr Isazade has noted.
