Commanders deny sending military forces from Rostov Region to Kazakhstan

A spokesperson for the Southern Military District called false the information about a transfer of a brigade of guards from Kamensk-Shakhtinsk to suppress riots in Kazakhstan. Paratroopers from Tula have already arrived in the country to perform the CSTO mission.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the chair of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), has granted the request of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, to bring the CSTO’s peacekeeping forces into the country. The contingent included units of the armed forces of Armenia, as well as Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. The advanced units of the Russian Airborne Forces have already arrived in Kazakhstan.

The information about a transfer to Kazakhstan of the 11th separate engineering brigade of guards, stationed in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, is “fake,” says Vadim Astafyev, the chief of the press service for the Southern Military District of Russia. “The information does not correspond to real facts,” stated Vadim Astafyev as quoted by the “Rostov-on-Don Online”.

Today, the RBC has posted on its YouTube channel a video of the transfer of Russian paratroopers to Kazakhstan. In the video, the paratroopers are getting into a transport plane, where military vehicles have already entered. The takeoff of the aircraft is also demonstrated in the video.

Paratroopers from the 106th Tula Guards Airborne Division set off for Kazakhstan, the “Tula News” reported.
