Armenian soldier detained after his colleague's death

A serviceman of one of the units of the Armenia Army has been detained after his colleague died from a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred at a combat post in the Vayots Dzor Region on December 31, 2021. A Private, Movses Tadevosyan, born in 2003, received a gunshot wound to the head and died on the way to the hospital, the Armenian Ministry of Defence has reported.

His colleague has been detained on suspicion of involvement in Tadevosyan's death, the "News-Armenia" has written today with reference to the press service of the MoD.

The "Caucasian Knot" has earlier reported that in November 2021, a contract soldier was wounded in one of the military units deployed in the Gegarkunik Region and died in a hospital. According to preliminary data from the Armenian MoD, he died as a result of violating the rules for handling weapons.
