Akhmed Dudaev settles scores with critics of regime contrary to President Putin’s position

Chechen Press and Information Minister Akhmed Dudaev has insulted critics of the authorities for lack of respect for Ramzan Kadyrov and his followers. Thus, he has ignored the President Putin’s statement about the unacceptability of settling scores.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 22, the oppositional blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, reported about the kidnapping of his paternal and maternal relatives living in Chechnya. He has linked the kidnappings with his brother's criticism of Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament. Tumso has posted a screenshot of a message with a threat to kill his relatives should he fail to post, within 24 hours, a video with apologizes to Kadyrov.

Today, Akhmed Dudaev has posted on his Instagram page a message to “provocateurs.” The Chechen Minister accused critics of the Ramzan Kadyrov’s regime of lack of respect for the republic’s authorities and the people who supported Ramzan Kadyrov.

According to Akhmed Dudaev, critics of Ramzan Kadyrov are capable of respecting only “the enemies of Allah.” The Chechen Minister mentioned as an example a video depicting some people carrying out an unknown militant on their shoulders while crossing a river. “The main thing for you is that when a person is not a Chechen, you will be willing to carry such a person on your neck and you will not be at all ashamed of it. But you cannot respect someone who descends from Chechens, because you yourself are not Chechens. You are willing to carry on your shoulders an unknown person, an enemy of Allah, a shaitan, who has appeared from nowhere, and you are ready to carry him in cold forests, across rivers. This is not a shame for you, because this is your price. You are the same as they are, without a clan,” Akhmed Dudaev pointed out. In his message, he several times insulted opponents of the Ramzan Kadyrov’s regime and called them “not real men” and “the party of shaitans.”

Akhmed Dudaev posted his message to the “provocateurs” the day after the press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin. While commenting on the question about the murders of Anna Politkovskaya and Boris Nemtsov, the Russian President said that “the settling of scores is not only unacceptable, it is harmful to our country ( ...) even if we are talking about some political motives.”
