Turkish media point to Kadyrov's tactlessness

In their publications about Ramzan Kadyrov's statement addressed to Recep Erdogan regarding the opening of the Dudaev Park, Turkish media have emphasized the tactless tone of the head of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 10, the administration of the municipality of the city of Korfez in the Turkish Province of Kodjaeli solemnly opened a park named after the first president of Ichkeria, Djokhar Dudaev. After the opening of the park, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, stated that the actions of the Turkish authorities, who had supported terrorists in this way, threatened the Russian-Turkish diplomatic relations.

Djokhar Dudaev, an Aviation Major General, was in the lead of the movement for the exit of Chechnya from the Soviet Union, the first president of Ichkeria (1991-1996), the supreme commander in chief during the First Chechen War.

The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria is an unrecognized separatist state entity created after the collapse of the USSR in a part of the territory of the former Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and liquidated by federal troops in 2000.

The news entitled "Kadyrov's impudent threat to Turkey: we'll erect a monument to Odjalan in Chechnya" and telling about the statement of the head of Chechnya was published by the pro-governmental newspaper "YeniSafak". Besides, publications appeared in the oppositional newspaper "Cumhuriyet" and about 10 other local editions, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The above publications present the news without assessment judgments and comments by authorities or local experts, the headlines contain the tactless tone of Kadyrov's statement.

The Turkish social networks treat the Kadyrov's statement as tactless and unrepresentative. The commentators remind to the head of Chechnya about his role during the Russian-Chechen war, accusing him of collaborationism.
