Saakashvili agrees to doctors' help

The administration of the prison, where Mikheil (Mikhail) Saakashvili is serving his prison term, satisfied his demands and returned the opportunity to fully communicate with his advocates, as a result of which he agreed to give medical tests.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Saakashvili is kept in the Rustavi Prison, where he has been on a hunger strike since October 1, demanding his release. On the 27th day of his hunger strike, he rejected medical procedures and tests. In the meeting room of the Rustavi Prison, a solid glass wall was installed, because of which Saakashvili could not exchange documents with his advocates.

In the evening on October 28, the prison administration partially dismantled the erected glass barrier in the meeting room, which restricted the space between the parties, Saakashvili's advocates reported on air of the "Mtavari Arkhi" TV Company after visiting their client.

"Saakashvili has decided to stop rejecting to undergo tests and consult with doctors," said Dmitry Sadzaglishvili, one of his advocates.

Saakashvili will continue his hunger strike just as he did it before the regulation of visits to him was tightened, said Beka Basilaya, another advocate. But now he will consult with doctors, undergo tests and take into account doctors' recommendations.
