Zakaev reports detention of his associate's relatives in Chechnya

On September 27, in the village of Chechen-Aul, armed people demanded to bring together all the male close relatives of Alim-Pasha Soltykhanov, who is Akhmed Zakaev's associate; and the day before, Zakaev's own relatives were detained for several hours, Akhmed Zakaev, the leader of Chechen separatists living abroad, has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 15, Ramzan Kadyrov, while speaking live on air on the Instagram, voiced out threats against Akhmed Zakaev, who lives in Great Britain, promising to "burn him down in a blue flame" for mentioning Akhmat Kadyrov.

On September 27, relatives of Alim-Pasha Soltykhanov, one of the leaders of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, were detained in the Chechen village of Chechen-Aul, Akhmed Zakaev has informed. Unidentified armed people demanded to gather all the Soltykhanov's male relatives, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* has reported with reference to Zakaev.

The day before, on September 26, Zakaev's relatives were also detained for several hours. His brother, sisters, all his nephews and their children, as well as his cousins, were taken to Grozny. There was a minor among the detainees. They checked their phones and wrote down their places of work. After many hours of checking, they were allowed to go home, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* has reported.
