On September 20-26, 2021, no one fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week of September 20-26, 2021, no killed or wounded in the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus were reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the “Caucasian Knot” based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
Detentions
On September 25, Stavropol natives Albert Elakaev and Alimkhan Musaev were detained in a case on an attack of militants on villages in the Botlikh District of Dagestan in 1999. According to the investigators’ version, in mid-July 1999, Albert Elakaev and Alimkhan Musaev joined the grouping led by Shamil Basaev and Emir Khattab and were involved in a number of crimes.
A court placed Albert Elakaev and Alimkhan Musaev under arrest on the charge of banditry and attempted murders of soldiers and law enforcers.
Every month, quarter, and every year, the “Caucasian Knot” posts statistics with regard to victims of the armed conflict in the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) in Section “Northern Caucasus: Statistics of Victims”.
