Chechen native put on wanted list in case on murder of a Stavropol police officer

Zaurbek Keniev has been named the second suspect in the murder of police officer Ruslan Abovyan. In 2015, the latter participated in a Grozny special operation of the Stavropol law enforcers, which angered Ramzan Kadyrov.

Ruslan Abovyan was attacked in Stavropol on July 24, and he died from gunshot wounds.

Both suspects in the attack – 28-year-old Ibragim Simbarigov and 44-year-old Zaurbek Keniev – are natives of Chechnya, the “Bloknot-Krasnodar” reports. According to the edition, Zaurbek Keniev may be hiding in the Krasnodar Territory.

According to the investigators’ version, the murder could be motivated by blood feud. The “Baza” Telegram channel reported that Ruslan Abovyan participated in a special operation in Grozny in 2015, during which local resident Djambulat Dadaev, suspected of an attempt on businessman Magomed Tazirov, was killed.

Djambulat Dadaev was wanted on suspicion of a shelling attack on a businessman in Stavropol and was killed in Grozny on April 19, 2015. The special operation was carried out by the police of the Stavropol Territory. Ramzan Kadyrov condemned the Stavropol law enforcers and claimed that no one might conduct special operations in Chechnya without the consent of the local authorities.
