Detentions

According to law enforcers' version, on July 21-22, in Kislovodsk, seven members of a banned religious association were detained – residents of Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia and Stavropol Territory, namely, Rasul Umarov, Yusup Ismailov, Islam Tambiev, Anzor Kakhunov, Adam Darsaev, Makhach Bashirov and Rabadangadji Rabadanov. They are suspected of attempting a terror act at a police station in Kislovodsk back in April. Makhach Bashirov's mother has recorded a video appeal to Russian President, Vladimir Putin, stating that her son was innocent and was kidnapped in a Dagestan village by unidentified men in camouflage uniforms and masks.

On July 22, Abbas Khamkhoev was detained in the village of Yandare, Nazran District of Ingushetia. Law enforcers found an explosive device in his house. His relatives do not believe that Khamkhoev could keep an explosive device, especially in the room where the child sleeps, Magomed Aushev, an advocate, has emphasized. According to his story, the reason for the persecution of Khamkhoev could be his acquaintance with a person involved in the armed underground.
