Demand to Dzyuba to apologize for his words about Chechnya outrages Instagram users

When describing the atmosphere in Chechnya, footballer Artyom Dzyuba shared his personal perception thereof; and this is not a subject for an apology, social network users have pointed out after the former coach of the "Akhmat" FC demanded an apology from Dzyuba.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 21, Vyacheslav Grozny, a former head coach of the "Akhmat" Football Club (FC), said that Stanislav Cherchesov, the head coach of the Russian national team, should convince Artyom Dzyuba, a forward of the "Zenit" FC, to apologize for his words about the "oppressive atmosphere" in Chechnya.

In his interview with the YouTube channel "Sad Broadcast about Football", released on May 16, Artyom Dzyuba spoke about his impressions of the match in Grozny. "The atmosphere there is depressing ... It’s hostile. Playing there is always hard for some reason," he said.

Social media users have treated Vyacheslav Grozny's demand as inappropriate, pointing out that Dzyuba had only expressed his non-offensive personal opinion.

"Each person has his own, purely personal opinion. Should we now apologize on every occasion?" the user amina_28__5900 asked, in particular.

"Apologies for personal impressions or feelings?))) If a person did not like a visit, then who is to blame?" the user teatrserg has asked. "He didn't offend anyone, but described his feelings, what is there to apologize for?" the user edituspersona has agreed.
