Eleven Armenian soldiers injured in a fight with Azerbaijani soldiers

After a fight with Azerbaijani soldiers near the village of Khoznavar, eleven Armenian soldiers were hospitalized. The Armenian armed forces threw back the Azerbaijani forces in this section of the border, the General Prosecutor’s Office reported.

According to the Armenian side, the Azerbaijani military personnel approached the village of Khoznavar in the Syunik Region. Women and children were evacuated from the village, and a fight broke out between Armenian and Azerbaijani soldiers.

The General Prosecutor’s Office reported that a group of armed soldiers of Azerbaijan crossed the border without permission and advanced 1.5 kilometres deep into the territory of Armenia at the site of the Khoznavar village in the Tekh community of the Syunik Region. The Azerbaijani soldiers declared that the territory belonged to Baku and threatened to open fire if Armenian soldiers approached them.

There are also victims of the conflict from the Azerbaijani side, the “Panorama.am” reports.

Let us remind you that Nikol Pashinyan announced his intention to sign an agreement with Azerbaijan, but did not disclose the content of the document. The opposition believes such decisions cannot be made before the parliamentary elections, until the compositions of the parliament and government have been approved.
