Social media users consider Kadyrov’s address to Khabib a provocation

By his statements about Khabib Nurmagomedov, Ramzan Kadyrov provoked disputes between Chechens and Dagestanis, and the desire of the leader of Chechnya to stage a demonstration fight is inappropriate during the aggravation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Instagram users note.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on May 13, the leader of Chechnya announced his willingness to pay Khabib Nurmagomedov the remuneration whatever he would request for defeating a fighter from the “Akhmat” club. Ramzan Kadyrov reproached the Dagestani fighter for performing under the auspices of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and not under the flags of Russia or Dagestan.

In their comments, many readers of the “Grozny-Inform” Instagram public account criticized the Ramzan Kadyrov’s statements as provocative and stirring up disputes between Chechens and Dagestanis. “Wake up and decide if you are the leader of the republic or a blogger-provocateur. It seems that you are watching Dagestan all the time,” user snamil_05dag writes today. “My opinion is that it is not worth pushing two nations against each other,” user oyoydoyfyo emphasizes.

Readers of the “Grozny-Inform” Instagram public account also expressed their indignation at the fact that the Ramzan Kadyrov’s statements were made against the background of the exacerbation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. “Kadyrov thinks of <...> Palestine in the morning [and] of fights in the evening,” user ruslanalibagandov98 wrote. “The remuneration (promised by Ramzan Kadyrov to Khabib Nurmagomedov, – note of the ‘Caucasian Knot) should be given to our people in need, and fighters of the ‘Akhmat’ club may be sent to Palestine,” user adrenalin323 noted.
