Murder version of ex-Mayor of Argun Temirbaev appears because of his disgrace
The version that Ibragim Temirbaev, a former Mayor of the city of Argun seems plausible, since earlier there were reports that he fell out of Ramzan Kadyrov's favour and about his imprisonment, analysts believe.
On April 6, Ibragim Temirbaev perished in Chechnya after his car fell off a cliff down. His death was violent, not accidental, the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, asserts.
According to a source of the "Kavkaz.Realii" edition, Temirbaev "was set free in early 2021 after a year and a half of unofficial imprisonment."
The death of the former Mayor of Argun may be linked to the current authorities, Svetlana Gannushkina, the chair of the "Civil Assistance" Committee*, has suggested. "Kadyrov has personally admitted Temirbaev's participation in the conspiracy," she said.
On October 4, 2019, the "Novaya Gazeta" newspaper reported that high-ranking Chechen officials suspected of disloyalty to Kadyrov had been detained and tortured because of their disrespectful remarks about the head of Chechnya.
