Peacemakers have escorted another group of refugees from Yerevan to Stepanakert. The total number of local residents who have returned to Nagorno-Karabakh has reached 52,712, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by February 19, the total number of returnees to Nagorno-Karabakh had reached 52,700 people.

During the last 24 hours, 12 residents returned from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh, making the total number of returnees equal to 52,712 persons, the Russian MoD has reported on its website today.

After returning to Stepanakert, some refugees face difficulties, the blogger, David Simonyan, wrote on March 2 in his blog that he runs on the "Caucasian Knot" entitled "Upland turns. Karabakh". "There is some kind of help, but not everyone gets it. There are refugees who had to leave their homes for the second time: those from Baku and Sumgait, who came to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) from all over Azerbaijan during the first Karabakh war; but the recent war made them homeless again," Mr Simonyan has written.
