MIA of Abkhazia comments on Akhra Avidzba's detention

Today, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Abkhazia has reported about a large number of firearms and ammunition discovered in the house of Akhra Avidzba, the former aide to the President of Abkhazia. Akhra Avidzba has been detained together with five foreigners, one of whom introduced himself as a resident of the village of Chegem II in Kabardino-Balkaria, the MIA of Abkhazia reports on its official website.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 4, the police detained Akhra Avidzba, the former aide to the President of Abkhazia, and brought him for questioning to the Security Service.

Agents of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia seized firearms and ammunition from the house of Akhra Avidzba, the MIA of Abkhazia reports on its official website today.

Akhra Avidzba was taken to the law enforcement bodies, five persons, not citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia, were detained in his house, and their identification is underway, the "Sputnik Abkhazia" reports today.

The website of the MIA of Abkhazia has posted photos of the seized firearms, as well as pictures of five detainees with some personal data, according to which four persons live in the Donetsk People's Republic (known as DPR), and one of the detainees is a resident of the village of Chegem II in Kabardino-Balkaria.
