Four Azerbaijani residents detained for trying to enter Karabakh

Two residents of the Terter District tried to avoid checkpoints and get to the village of Talysh, while two others tried to go to the Agdam District, despite the authorities' ban on visiting the non-demined territories of Nagorno-Karabakh, the police report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the number of cases when civilians of Azerbaijan are blown up on mines in Nagorno-Karabakh is growing, despite the authorities' ban on visiting the Karabakh conflict zone. So, in the period from November 10, 2020, to February 9, the number of the victims blown up on mines reached 74, the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan reported. Later, it was reported about at least two more cases of blowing up on mines.

Four residents of the Terter District were detained for trying to enter the territories that came under the control of the Azerbaijani authorities, the Bardin regional unit of the press service for the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) report.

In particular, according to the police, Talekh Agalarov and Asad Agalarov tried to avoid checkpoints to get to the village of Talysh. Two more local residents, Amin Alibeili and Talekh Ibragimov, did not obey the legal requests of the police at the checkpoint in the village of Gapanly and tried to enter the Agdam District, the APA reports today.

The police drew up administrative protocols against all four detainees and sent them to the district court, the "haqqın.az" reports.
