Political analysts dispute on impact of video about capture of Shushi on Pashinyan's rating

The footage of the advancement of Azerbaijani troops to Shushi is used as an element of the information campaign against Nikol Pashinyan, Armen Vardanyan, a political analyst, believes. The opposition is inefficiently using such videos to lower Pashinyan's rating; therefore, the record will give no result, Armen Badalyan, a political technologist, is sure.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that film director, Arshak Zakaryan, posted a video that has "confirmed the version that Shushi was surrendered" to Azerbaijani troops, since it demonstrates their unhindered advance towards the city. The footage sparked controversy in social media.

The aim of the post is to show to the society that Shushi was surrendered as a result of a conspiracy, Arshak Zakaryan has stated. According to his version, “the enemy, facing no resistance, calmly reached Shushi."

According to Armen Vardanyan, a political analyst, the Armenian society is debating on whether Shushi was surrendered to the enemy.

“Most likely, when a truce was requested through Russia's mediation, the surrender of Shushi became a precondition put forward by Ilham Aliev," Mr Vardanyan has stressed.

The media sphere is full of information, which is used, among other things, for manipulative purposes aimed to lower Pashinyan's rating, Akop Badalyan, an observer, has stated.
