"Mediazona" reports about background of searches in village of Tarki

After an arrest of a law enforcer suspected of possessing drugs, mass searches were conducted in the Dagestani village of Tarki. Local residents associate the searches with the revenge of relatives of the arrested law enforcer against the opponents of drug addiction, the "Mediazona" reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 13, the police conducted mass searches in the village of Tarki, which provoked indignation of the local residents.

The situation in Tarki escalated after 23-year-old Vali Abduragimov, who opposed drug dealers, was killed on January 3. On January 6, during a gathering in the village of Tarki, at which people were discussing the murder of Vali Abduragimov, a mass fight occurred, in which Kerim Khairullaev, a native of Makhachkala, was killed. Two local residents, including Ullubiy Amirov, were detained on suspicion of committing the above murders. Ullubiy Amirov was taken into custody on suspicion of drug possession.

Residents of the Tarki village associate the police visits and the conducted searches with the investigation into the case against former policeman Ullubiy Amirov. In its today's article entitled "The Almighty sends such a public outcry to make people think over the situation. Two murders and a field investigator arrested in a village near Makhachkala", the "Mediazona" reports some of the local residents claim that the relatives of Ullubiy Amirov could testify as a "revenge" against the villagers, who believed that the arrested policeman was involved in illegal drug trade.
