Journalist Ruslan Totrov reports names of his attackers

One of the men who participated in the beating of Ruslan Totrov is a "close associate" of South-Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov, the journalist reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 21, Ruslan Totrov, a blogger and a correspondent of the "OsNova", complained that he was attacked by two unidentified persons in Vladikavkaz, who were unhappy with his critical posts about the President of South Ossetia related to the investigation into the "Inal Djabiev's case."

Today, journalist and blogger Ruslan Totrov has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he knows the people who attacked him in Vladikavkaz on January 21. One of the attackers is an employee of the South-Ossetian Ministry of Defence (MoD) and "a close associate of President Bibilov." The second attacker is a resident of Vladikavkaz. According to the journalist, both men arrived in a state-owned South-Ossetian car with state registration number of 555.

In this case, either President Bibilov himself has issued an order to beat the journalist, or he absolutely does not control his close associates, Ruslan Totrov believes. "Of course, Anatoly Bibilov is either directly or indirectly responsible for what has happened," the journalist emphasizes.
