Karabakh rescuers report 1230 dead bodies found

In the village of Karin, Karabakh rescuers found a body of a 58-year-old woman. The total number of the dead bodies found by the rescuers increased to 1230. Today, Azerbaijan has banned the Karabakh rescuers from conducting any searches. However, it is planned to resume searches on January 15, the Karabakh side reports.

Today, according to Unan Tadevosyan, the head of the public relations division of the Nagorno-Karabakh Emergency Service, at the request of Azerbaijan, the rescuers have not carried out any search operations.

"We planned to conduct searches in the direction of Gadrut and Djabrail (the Armenian name is Djrakan, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"). We will go there tomorrow," said Unan Tadevosyan as quoted by the "Panorama".

The head of the public relations division of the Nagorno-Karabakh Emergency Service has noted that the ban on the searches is not related to the wounding of a soldier.

Let us remind you that on January 13, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh reported that Vardan Kirakosyan, a soldier of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army, was wounded as a result of a shelling attack from the Azerbaijani side. However, Baku claims that the Azerbaijani side has not been involved in the incident.

By December 5, experts identified the remains of 3360 Karabakh soldiers who fell victim to the autumn escalation of the conflict. On January 12, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence released a list of 2841 names of soldiers and officers killed in the Karabakh conflict zone.
