Almost 650 people returned to Stepanakert during last 24 hours

Accompanied by Russian peacemakers, 649 refugees returned to Stepanakert from Yerevan over the past 24 hours. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD), a special hotline received 400 reports about missing local residents.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that as of December 8, a total of 1136 people had returned to Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia.

On December 9, Russian peacemakers escorted a column of refugees returning from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh by buses. 649 people arrived from Yerevan to Stepanakert, says the statement posted on the website of the Russian MoD in the evening on December 9.

According to the MoD, more than 36,000 refugees have already returned to Nagorno-Karabakh, accompanied by Russian peacemakers, who are also monitoring the situation at 23 observation posts.

The hotline opened for searching for the people who disappeared during the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh received about 400 telephone calls, the "Interfax-Military News Agency" has written today, on December 10, citing Colonel Dmitry Perepyolkin, Deputy Head of the Centre for Parties' Reconciliation.
