Let us note here that this is the sixth consecutive week when no armed incidents have been reported.

The latest recorded incident took place on October 16 in the Nasyr-Kort District of Nazran, where a shootout occurred, and a car exploded. The man in the car, treated as a militant by law enforcers, died. He was identified as Yunus Vidzizhev, the owner of a rental chain of empty weapons.

Vidzizhev had been wanted for storing live (combat) weapons. He had stated that law enforcers had unlawfully persecuted him, robbed his shop and tried to kill him, staging the murder as a special operation.
