Parents of soldiers missed in action: Armenian authorities to report their fate

The authorities deliberately keep silence concerning the information about the soldiers missed in action, claim protesters who gathered in front of the building of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that about 2400 soldiers had been killed, while hundreds more had been missed in action. Oppositionist Mikael Minasyan claims that the authorities keep in secret the information about 1100 soldiers missed in action.

According to relatives of the soldiers missed in actions, the lists of the deceased and wounded do not contain the names of their sons. The relatives demanded from the authorities to provide the information on the whereabouts of the soldiers, because they want to go there and pick them up on their own, the "Arminfo" reports.

"We have no information, and we have to visit hospitals ourselves in search of our children!" complains one of the protestors as quoted by the "News-Armenia".

Azerbaijan does not disclose any information concerning its combat losses. Meanwhile, according to the parties, since the beginning of the escalation of the conflict, 93 civilians were killed, and 404 others were wounded in Azerbaijan, while 49 civilians were killed, and 157 others were wounded in Nagorno-Karabakh.
