Residents of Azerbaijan removed from Kullar to children's camp

A total of 291 Azerbaijani citizens awaiting departure to their homeland have been transferred from the temporary accommodation centre (TAC), organized near the village of Kullar, to a children's health camp in Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by November 2, 300 citizens of Azerbaijan remained in the tent camp near Kullar. They will be placed in Dagestani boarding houses, while the tents will be dismantled in connection with the onset of cold weather, the operative headquarters under the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has reported.

The press service of the administration of the Kaitag District of Dagestan has specified that there are nine women and six children among the Azerbaijanis. "Good nutrition has been organized for everyone. They are accommodated in heated rooms. The children's camp can accommodate 600 people," the "Interfax" writes with reference to the administration of the Kaitag District.

Since May this year, 6500 residents of Azerbaijan have returned to their homeland through the special corridor organized in Dagestan.

Campers near Kullar have complained about the uncertainty about their return to their homeland and poor living conditions. When, in late summer, the camp no longer coped with the inflow of people who wanted to get home, Azerbaijanis began settling in other places in the outskirts of the village, including in abandoned buildings.
