Nagorno-Karabakh authorities call video of Djalal Arutyunyan's death a fake

The President of Nagorno-Karabakh awarded the title of Hero of Artsakh to Djalal Arutyunyan, who was dismissed from the post of the Defence Minister after he had been wounded. The Nagorno-Karabakh authorities denied the information about the Djalal Arutyunyan's death and reported that he was recovering.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nagorno-Karabakh President Araik Arutyunyan replaced the Defence Minister against the backdrop of the information about the Djalal Arutyunyan's death. Meanwhile, the leader of the unrecognized republic explained the Defence Minister's resignation with his injury.

The resigned Defence Minister Djalal Arutyunyan has been awarded the title of Hero of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), President Araik Arutyunyan announces. He has also added that according to doctors, the former Defence Ministry is recovering.

Today, the "News Armenia" has posted a photo of the awarding ceremony of the former Defence Minister. In the photo, a man with a mask on his face is handing the award over to Djalal Arutyunyan in the presence of two military personnel. Djalal Arutyunyan is dressed in a khaki field uniform, and no signs of his injury are visible.
