Investigators reveal details of shootout in Surkhakhi

A 33-year-old resident of the village of Surkhakhi in Ingushetia was killed when his car was shelled from a submachine gun, and his mother and wife were hospitalized with wounds, investigators have informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 13, in the village of Surkhakhi, Nazran District, unidentified persons shelled a car killing a man and wounding at least two women. This attack was the fifth in Ingushetia since the start of this year.

Earlier, on July 28, in the outskirt of the village of Yandare in Ingushetia, Uvais Aliev, a policeman, was killed, when his car was also shelled. According to law enforcers, members of the militant grouping headed by Aslan Byutukaev may be involved in the latest murder.
