Chechen resident reports about kidnapping of his brother

On March 13, Shamkhan Baidulaev, a native of Chechnya, who came to his homeland from Germany to visit his relatives, was kidnapped by unidentified persons in the Achkhoi-Martan District, his brother reported.

The man recorded an audio appeal to the Chechen authorities and asked them to help find his brother, the "Kavkaz.Realii" reports today.

In particular, on March 15, the appeal in the Chechen language was posted by user Igor Batov on a Facebook page. The author of the record introduces himself as Shamil B. Aidulaev from the village of Yandi (Yandi-Kotar) in the Achkhoi-Martan District and reports that he is recording his appeal on March 13. The video footage for the audio message made in the Chechen language is designed as alternating photos of a young man.

According to the author of the appeal, relatives searched for the disappeared man, but could not find out anything. "His father is a sick man, he suffers from high blood pressure. I don't know whom we should appeal to. Please show this video to Ramzan (Kadyrov). Where should we look for our man? The man did nothing illegal, absolutely nothing ... He has been living in Germany for seven years. He married there, and he takes care of his 10 children," said the author of the appeal as translated from Chechen by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
