Kadyrov declares his readiness to present disputed land plot to Dagestan

Chechnya can transfer ten hectares of land over which there is a dispute in court to Dagestan, if the latter asks for it, Ramzan Kadyrov said at a press conference.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 23, Ramzan Kadyrov held a more than five-hour-long press conference, where he, in particular, approved the murder of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili committed in Berlin, and answered the question about a conspiracy against him.

The head of Chechnya also spoke about the border dispute with Dagestan. According to his story, the Dagestani party understands that the controversial land plot belongs to Chechnya.

Kadyrov also noted that this is not such a large land plot for Chechnya. "If they ask, we can give it to them as a sort of alms," he has stated.

In January, 2019, Chechen and Dagestani authorities agreed to demarcate their mutual border.

Let us remind you that in June, residents of Dagestan protested against the installation of Chechen road signs near the city of Kizlyar; one of them was demolished. Magomed Daudov visited the place of the incident with a detachment of armed law enforcers. The authorities of Kizlyar and the head of Dagestan, Vladimir Vasiliev, then admitted that the Chechen road workers "have installed the road signs in their territory."
