Three residents of Adjara detained for bride abduction

In Adjara, a young man and two of his acquaintances are suspected of abducting a minor girl, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia reports today.

All three detainees were born in 2000, while the abducted girl was 15 years old.

Investigators suggest that the minor girl was forced into a car and taken away, since one of the young men wanted to marry her, the "Channel One" of the Georgian TV Broadcaster has reported today.

"Law enforcers have detained all three suspects in accordance with the judge's resolution," the "Georgia Online" quotes today the Georgian MIA as reporting. According to the MIA's report the detainees face up to 10 years of imprisonment.
