Brothers of beaten Ingush girl not accepted to school
Brothers of a girl from Ingushetia who fell victim to violence were not accepted to school, since their mother had no residence registration, reported the chief of the police juvenile affairs department. The girl herself stays in the hospital, and she needs several plastic surgeries.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the mother of the girl who suffered from violence said that she did not voluntarily give up her daughter to relatives of her former husband and that she was still taking care of her two sons. According to the woman, she loves her daughter and wants to raise her by herself.
On July 4, the girl was hospitalized in severe condition, and a part of her arm was amputated. The child lived under guardianship in the family of her aunt, who was accused of intentionally causing life-threatening harm to the child's health. The girl's mother said that her husband took the child away from her after their divorce, and she was not allowed to see her daughter.
Two brothers of the beaten girl from Ingushetia were not accepted to school, the "Kavkaz.Realii" reports with reference to their mother. According to the woman, the family derives income from her disability allowance and assistance from those people who learned about the beating of her daughter in the family of her former husband's relatives, but the money was not enough to buy all the items the boys would need at school.
Officials noted unsanitary conditions in the house of the brothers' mother, and because of that fact the boys could be separated from their mother. The fate of the beaten girl has also not been determined.
Earlier, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, the acting leader of Ingushetia, has pointed out the legal difficulties in determining the fate of the girl, since her mother and father are alive.
The tragedy with the Ingush girl has revealed not so much the Sharia problem in the Caucasus as the defects of the entire system of protecting rights and guardianship in general, notes human rights defender Ruslan Parchiev.
