Ruslan Kurbanov makes public details of his visit to Ramzan Kadyrov

Today, Dagestani journalist Ruslan Kurbanov has reported that during an interview in Grozny, Ramzan Kadyrov spoke about his attitude to Imam Shamil and "button heroes." The journalist made public a fragment of the interview with Ramzan Kadyrov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ruslan Kurbanov, a Dagestani journalist, political analyst, and researcher engaged in oriental studies, said that Ramzan Kadyrov agreed to give him an interview in Grozny to resolve disagreements about the personality of Imam Shamil and stop "insults between peoples."

On the 20th anniversary of the Chechen militants' invasion into Dagestan, Ramzan Kadyrov drew a parallel between these events and the 19th century Caucasian War and accused Imam Shamil of repressions against Chechens for their unwillingness to confront Russia. On August 8, in Makhachkala, several dozen people came to the Avar Theatre to protest against Kadyrov's words about Imam Shamil. The action caused Kadyrov's discontent. People who continue writing "twaddle and nonsense" on the Internet should come to their senses so that not to initiate war against them, Ramzan Kadyrov said in his recent video message.

The meeting took place at the Ramzan Kadyrov's residence, and it was also attended by Magomed Daudov, the chairman of the Chechen parliament, Alvi Karimov, the press secretary of the leader of Chechnya, and Apti Alaudinov, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Chechen Republic, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed today by Ruslan Kurbanov. The journalist noted that he arrived alone at the meeting with Ramzan Kadyrov.

During the meeting, the topic of threats against commentators was also discussed, whom Ramzan Kadyrov called "button heroes," Ruslan Kurbanov reported. "We talked about his tough assessments and accusations against commentators. He basically does not keep in secret his words and repeats them," Ruslan Kurbanov said.

Meanwhile, the leader of Chechnya has emphasized that he only blames those who "insult his father, his people, and himself personally" in social networks and invites them to a personal meeting to find out the reasons for the commentator's negative attitude, says Ruslan Kurbanov.

During the interview, Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed his respect to Imam Shamil, reported Ruslan Kurbanov. "Ramzan Kadyrov said he did not criticize Imam Shamil, and his words were misunderstood and misinterpreted," Ruslan Kurbanov explained.

Today, Ruslan Kurbanov has posted on Instagram a fragment of the interview with Ramzan Kadyrov. The journalist notes that the full version of the interview "will be released this week."
