Relatives tell about search of the housing of Ingush MP's son

Investigators believe that Daud Mamilov, a son of an Ingush MP, was involved in creating a terrorist unit and took oath to the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court. Law enforcers spent many hours searching the house and seized cell phones, a child's tablet and books in the Arabic language, said Daud's wife.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 16, 2019, Zakri Mamilov, an Ingush MP, who opposes the border agreement with Chechnya, said that his son was detained on April 30. He linked his son's prosecution with his own political activities.

Daud Mamilov is accused of participating in the activities of an organization that, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, is recognized as terrorist. The court arrested him until June 23, the advocate, Nadezhda Gorkova, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today.

According to her story, no proofs of her client's guilt were presented during the court session. While making his ruling, the judge relied on a testimony of some secret witness.

The search of the house was conducted in the early morning on April 29, Aza, Daud Mamilov's wife, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, the search continued from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Moscow time. "They checked everything, even the lockers with children's things. They found nothing, but they took away all the mobile phones, even those that were out of order; the child's tablet, and books in the Arabic language. We have the Quran in Russian; they didn't take it," the woman has explained.

She treats the charges put forward against her husband as "ridiculous." "My husband is a builder; his dependents, apart from six children, are his sister and her children. He is known and respected in Dmitrov. Teachers and neighbours express their sympathy to me," said Aza.
