Chechen authorities disown Saidov detained in Crimea
The regional permanent representatives of Ramzan Kadyrov have no deputies, the Chechen Minister, Djambulat Umarov, has commented on the detention of Murad Saidov, a Deputy Permanent Representative in the Crimea.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above Murad Saidov was detained on February 6 in the Crimean town of Saki after a conflict with a local businessman of Chechen origin. Policemen seized firearms from him. Ramzan Kadyrov stood up for Saidov, stating that he legally possessed the firearms, noting at the same time that Saidov worked as Deputy Permanent Representative "on the voluntary basis."
"This person (Murad Saidov) has nothing to do with the government of Chechnya. Our representatives in the regions have no deputies or assistants. Yes, in the Crimea there is a Chechnya's permanent representative, Isa Khachukaev, who works on the voluntary basis. But we have no such 'representatives' like Saidov," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Minister Umarov as saying.
He linked the incident in the Crimea with the business, and also confirmed that there are due permits for the firearms seized from Saidov, the RBC reports.
