EU demands to release Ukrainian citizen Pavel Grib arrested in Rostov-on-Don
Ukrainian citizen Pavel Grib, who is being kept in custody in Rostov-on-Don, needs medical assistance, reports the European Union.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 12, 2018, at a hearing of the North-Caucasian District Military Court, Pavel Grib, accused of inciting a woman from Kuban to commit a terror act, felt bad. On December 21, the Court refused to release Pavel Grib from the SIZO (pre-trial prison) for health reasons.
According to Pavel Grib's father, his son has a disability and must regularly take medicines. After Ukrainian doctors were not allowed to visit Pavel Grib on October 12, Ukraine accused Russia of deliberately harming the defendant's health.
Pavel Grib has a disability and is being kept by the Russian authorities without any specific charges filed against him, reported Maja Kocijancic, the EU's Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. "During his detention, Ukrainian doctors should be allowed to visit him, as required by the resolution of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR)," states the website of the EU Delegation to Russia.
