Azerbaijan counts 29 shelling attacks by Armenia

The positions of the Azerbaijani Army were shelled from large-calibre machine guns, including those positions stationed in nine villages in the border areas, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 30, Azerbaijan reported 27 shelling attacks in the conflict zone. In its turn, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh earlier reported 150 shelling attacks undertaken by Azerbaijan within the week of December 23-29.

"The units of the Armenian Armed Forces, by using large-calibre machine guns, violated the cease-fire in various sections of the frontline for 29 times within the past 24 hours," the website of the MoD of Azerbaijan has reported today.

According to the MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army deployed in the villages of Kemerli, Ferekhli, Gyzylgadzhily, Djafarli and Bala Djafarli of the Gazakh District, and in the villages of Agdam, Kokhanebi, Agbulag and Mundjuglu of the Tovuz District were exposed to shelling.
