Court dismisses lawsuit filed by author of book about Kanzhali battle

Viktor Kotlyarov, an author and publisher of the book "The Kanzhali Battle: A Glance Through the Centuries", did not attend a hearing held on November 29, and the court dismissed his lawsuit against Khadis Tetuev to protect honour and dignity.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Viktor Kotlyarov went to court with a request for protection of honour and dignity with compensation for moral damages in the amount of 100,000 roubles from the author of a post on Facebook, who negatively responded about his book.

According to Viktor Kotlyarov, insults were contained not so much in the post of Khadis Tetuev, but in the comments. The writer intends to challenge the decision of the court at the Supreme Court (SC) of Kabardino-Balkaria.

Khadis Tetuev is a historian and economist from Kabardino-Balkaria, an author of the cultural project "One Hundred Steps to Kaisyn". According to his interview to the "AIF-SK", he worked for more than 20 years for the tax authorities, and after that he took up historical and cultural monuments.
