Circassian repatriates' house to be repaired with funds raised from sale of calendars

Activists from Kabardino-Balkaria hold an annual charity event for the sale of the Circassian calendars for 2019. The organizers decided to spend the proceeds on repairing the house of a Syrian repatriates.

The idea of such a charity event was born 4 years ago to help compatriots who came from Syria, and since then, sales of calendars have been held annually, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Ratmir Karov, an activist of the NGO "Circassian Renaissance".

"Every year a certain group of people receive help. I communicate with repatriates every day and I know who face certain problems. This year, a family from a village will receive assistance. The money will be spent on papers for citizenship and repair work in their house. If some funds remain, we will also help other repatriates," said Ratmir Karov.
