Georgian motorists hold rally against border moving in Atotsi

Members of Georgian motor clubs have organized a motor rally from Mtskheta to the village of Atotsi, Kareli District, in order to show their negative attitude to Russia's actions in Georgia. Up to 150 cars arrived to the border line from Tbilisi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 7, on the side of South Ossetia, near the Georgian village of Atotsi in the Shida Kartli Region, they began setting up engineering barriers and fences on the border. On the same day, activists of the social movement "Strength in Unity" organized a round-the-clock post and prevented the works.

On November 18, a convoy of cars from Mtskheta drove in the direction of Atotsi, aiming to clearly show that Georgia would never reconcile with the occupation, says the statement of the protesters, posted on the website of the Georgian TV "Channel One".

During the motor rally, all the cars carried Georgian flags and stickers "Russian is an occupant". Civilian activists have joined the motorists' action. The total number of participants exceeded 300 people, the "News-Georgia" reports.
