Five residents of Dagestan detained within extremism case

Law enforcers have detained the organizer of a unit of the "At-Takfir Val-Hijra" organization, recognized as extremist in Russia and banned by the court, and four followers of this religious association.

According to investigators, Bagavudin Omarov organized the unit in 2013. He was accused of propagating the ideas of the "At-Takfir Val-Hijra", recruiting activists and organizing meetings. Investigators believe that he stirred up hatred towards gentiles.

According to the ideology of this movement, the countries, where the Sharia norms have no effect, are "states of kafirs" (infidels); and the power in them should be overthrown by jihad, the TASS reports.
