In the 4th quarter of 2017, 12 people fell victim to armed conflict in Ingushetia

In the period from October 1 to December 31, 2017, 12 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Ingushetia. Of them, four were killed and eight others were wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The death toll included a law enforcer and, according to the law enforcement bodies, three suspected members of the armed underground.

The number of the wounded people included eight law enforcers.

The "Caucasian Knot" notes that the provided statistics cannot reflect the number of victims with the 100 percent accuracy. Not all information is included in the news reports. It is not always possible to check the reliability of the statements voiced by the law enforcement bodies. Besides, new facts about the events of the reporting period become often known after the statistics had been already published on the "Caucasian Knot".

In the first quarter of 2017, no victims to the armed conflict were registered in Ingushetia. In the second quarter of 2017, at least nine people fell victim to the armed conflict, and in the third quarter of 2017 at least three people.

In 2016, at least 19 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Ingushetia. Of them, fifteen were killed and four others were injured.

In 2015, at least 21 people fell victim to the armed conflict in the republic. Of them, sixteen were killed and five others were injured.

In 2014, at least 37 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Ingushetia. Of them, 21 people were killed and 16 others were injured. In 2013, at least 94 people fell victim to the armed conflict. Of them, 36 were killed and 58 others were injured.
