Azerbaijan claims shelling of a village in conflict zone

The ceasefire regime in the Karabakh conflict zone was violated 22 times over a day, and the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the village of Zamanly came under fire, reports today the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 21, Azerbaijan registered 27 attacks on its positions in the Karabakh conflict zone, and on October 20, ‑ 30 attacks. In its turn, the Ministry of Defence for Nagorno-Karabakh claimed 80 cases of shelling from the Azerbaijani side during the week from October 14 to 20.

From the morning on October 21 to the morning on October 22, the ceasefire regime in the Karabakh conflict zone was violated 22 times, and the fire came from the territory of Armenia and from positions located "near the occupied villages," reports today the Azerbaijani MoD on its website. The positions of the Azerbaijani army in the village of Zamanly and on nameless heights in the Gadabay District were shelled, the Azerbaijan MoD reported.

Today, as of 8:50 a.m. Moscow time, the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not posted any statements regarding the shelling information in their official websites.
