Three Caucasian natives captured in Syria

The Syrian Democratic Army has announced the capture in Syria of six militants of the "Islamic State" (IS) (a terrorist grouping banned in Russia by the court). Among them, there are two natives of Dagestan, including a woman, and a native of Azerbaijan.

The Syrian Democratic Army, or the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), is an armed grouping consisting mainly of Kurdish self-defence units and operating with the support of the United States. The main declared aim of the SDF is to combat the IS.

The account SDF PRESS on the YouTube has posted a video "Arrest of a number of terrorists", which presents the personal data of the six captives.

They are a native of Dagestan, born in 1994, who is listed as Mukhammad Hussein II (Abu Amina Dagestani), and a woman-native of Dagestan, born in 1991, listed under the name of Amina Amir Khan Nadir. The third Caucasian is a native of Azerbaijan, born in 1974, Ismail Rashad Rafik (Abu Zakaria Azeri).

The operation against the IS, during which these people were captured, was conducted in Deir-ez-Zor, the Kurdish News Agency ANF reports.

The captured Dagestani woman, the 27-year-old Emina Seitova, is from the Interpol database, the "Kavkaz.Realii" writes. She was put on the wanted list at the request of Russia as a member of a foreign illegal armed formation (IAF).

According to various estimates, hundreds or even thousands of children from Dagestan, Chechnya and other regions of the Caucasus may be present in Iraq and Syria.
