Law enforcers tell about Khasavyurt casualties' links with militants

Iskhak and Akram Djamaldinov, shot dead today in Khasavyurt, sons of a former Dagestan official, had previously had to do with the armed underground, law enforcement sources report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the brothers Iskhak (also mentioned in the media as Isak) and Akram Djamaldinov were shot dead near the fuelling station at the entrance to Khasavyurt. According to a preliminary version, the brothers were killed by three militants, an informed source of the "Interfax" has specified.

Law enforcers do not exclude that acting militants shot their former comrades, a Dagestani law-enforcement source has stated today. "In the past, the murdered brothers, Akram and Iskhak Djamaldinov, had links with the bandit underground, Akram had been a militants' helper and transported them in Dagestan and Chechnya; while Iskhak participated in the underground and was suspected of killing three policemen in Khasavyurt in 2013 and 2014," the TASS quotes the source as saying.

Iskhak and Akram Djamaldinov, sons of the former official, "had close ties with militants," another informed source has confirmed. "One of them was among the militants, who in August 2012 surrendered to authorities during a special operation," the "Interfax-Yug" quotes this source.
