In Chechnya, contract soldier shot his commander dead
An officer of a Grozny law enforcement unit has been killed by his subordinate from a Kalashnikov submachine gun, the "Caucasian Knot" was informed by a source from the military enlistment office.
According to him, the incident occurred on January 28. "A contract soldier from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) shot and killed his direct commander in Grozny on January 28. The soldier opened fire from a Kalashnikov submachine gun. The officer died at the place of the incident from a gunshot wound he got," the source reported.
He did not mention any other details and added that an investigation had been launched after the incident.
The suspected killer is a scout sniper, and he is detained, the portal "Life" reports without disclosing its sources.
According to the portal "Life", the incident with shooting occurred when the men were drinking alcoholic beverages. They served at a military unit in the territory of the Stavropol Territory and came to Grozny for a temporary duty leave.
