Baku believers rally in support of Iranian authorities

A group of believers held a rally in support of the Iranian leaders in front of the Embassy of Iran in Baku. Participants of the action held portraits of Ayatollah Khamenei in their hands and shouted slogans in support of the Iranian authorities.

According to them, Ayatollah Khamenei is the spiritual leader not only of Iran, but also of the entire Muslim world. The participants of the action also condemned the US actions directed against Iran, the portal "haqqin.az" reported on January 14.

The action was held on January 13, and it gathered several dozen people, the "Sakhar" TV Channel reports.

It should be noted that 25 people fell victim to anti-government protests and riots in Iran in late December 2017 and in early January 2018. Participants in the demonstrations initially came to the streets to protest against the growth of prices. The authorities of Iran called the situation "a trouble" and "a rebellion" and accused the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Europe of organizing unrest. After that, the US declared that they support the transfer of power in Iran and explained the people's protests in the country by the discontent with the "aggressive behaviour" of the Iranian authorities, the TASS reports.
